Unique Seating Limited

Unique Seating Ltd supply custom made upholstery and seating tailored for restaurants, hotels, homes and offices across the UK.
Unique Seating Ltd will discuss your project with you and provide detailed drawings and a quotation.
Unique Seating Ltd will arrange for fabric samples to be supplied to you where applicable.
All quotations are subject to VAT.

When you place an order with Unique Seating Ltd, this forms a legally binding agreement by which we agree to supply, deliver and/or fit the goods specified on your personalised quotation, and you agree to pay the total price specified on your personalised quotation, subject to the terms set out below:

  • You acknowledge that you have carefully checked all drawings supplied with the personalised quotation and acknowledge that only the items specified on the drawings will be supplied by us.
  • You acknowledge that occasionally, there may be alterations to the original drawings, which may result in the order value being amended. You will be notified of any amendments before you become responsible for them. Please note that any new drawing(s) you agreed to will replace any previous drawings and these will become the drawing(s) we will manufacture, deliver and/or fit to, as applicable.

Before placing your order, please read the following terms carefully and ask us to explain anything you do not fully understand.

TERMS

 Definitions

  • “you” means the Company / individual placing the order.
  • “us”, “we” and “our” means Unique Seating Ltd.
  • “the goods” means the items specified on your personalised quotation.
  • “the site” means the place where the goods are to be delivered to and/or fitted as specified on your personalised quotation.

PLEASE READ THIS CONTRACT CAREFULLY AS WE WILL RELY ON THE TERMS SET OUT HERE AND NEITHER WE NOR YOU CAN ALTER THEM WITHOUT THE AGREEMENT OF THE OTHER.

We agree to manufacture, deliver and/or fit the goods at the site unless stated otherwise on your personal quotation. If the manufacture, supply, delivery and/or fitting of the goods is delayed by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will let you know and arrange an alternative date with you.

We cannot be held liable for delay or failure to complete the works caused by events beyond our reasonable control. In those cases, we will complete the works as soon as reasonably possible.

If we have agreed with you to arrange for the goods to be fitted, the following applies:

You agree:

  • to make sure that we have access to the site at reasonable times as agreed by you and us.
  • Where applicable, to make sure that any re-routing or installation of plumbing (including water, radiators, drainage, gas, sewage and the like) and electrics, along with the removal of any existing furniture, have been carried out to a good workman-like standard prior to the fitting date.
  • to make sure that we can use the mains electricity supply from a standard 13A 240V socket free of charge, and that the supply is installed to the usual standards in force at the time.
  • that you will not make any material alterations to the rooms where goods are to be fitted, and in particular, that you have permission to use any plans or drawings you supply to us.
  • to provide reasonable access to the room(s) to be fitted, to clear the room(s) to provide sufficient working space for us and co-operate in reducing health and safety risks to an acceptable level.
  • to confirm that you have told us of any particular features, which you know about the site or its construction, which may make the installation more difficult than we might reasonably expect. 

We may make improvements to the specifications of the goods (or minor cosmetic changes) or their installation before completion of the installation. We will not make any significant changes without prior consent.

You are responsible for the goods as soon as they are delivered to the site and we advise you to check any relevant insurance to ensure that you are adequately covered.

Cancellation

As the goods are made to your specifications, the usual “cooling off” period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 does not apply. 

Unique Seating Ltd offer a cancellation period which will expire 5 working days after the day on which you placed the order with us.

Payment Terms

  • 60% of total price as a deposit to confirm your order.
  • 30% of total price due 7 working days before delivery and/or fitting. 
  • 10% / final balance of total price due on the day of delivery (or completion of fitting where applicable) and in all cases, no later than 48 hours after completion.
